Internal Relationship Manager

Independent Advisor Alliance (IAA) is seeking a relationship focused, detail-oriented and proactive Internal Relationship Manager to join our team. This role will be critical in supporting and enhancing the relationships between IAA and its partner advisor firms. This role will support the Director of Advisor Success, serving as a point of contact for advisors, ensuring their needs are met, and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the financial services industry, specifically the independent advisor community. In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong relationship building skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills with a willingness and ability to take ownership of their job responsibilities.

Specifics Areas Of Responsibility Include, But Are Not Limited To:

As an Internal Relationship Manager you will work closely with the Director of Advisor Success, assisting with essential tasks to help support our partner firms and their advisors ensuring their vision is met.

  • Relationship Building
    • Work closely with the Director of Advisor Success to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with our financial advisor partners to understand their vision, needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Advisor Support
    • Provide support for advisors utilizing IAA’s platforms and programs by assisting with questions, data entry, and troubleshooting. This includes monitoring platform functionality and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Advisor Transition Support
    • Assist in facilitating onboarding processes for new advisors including new account paperwork, repapering, etc.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Ability to research and deliver reporting as well as a strong ability to analyze business needs.

You will also have cross functional collaboration with other key internal business partners, specifically within the Business development and operations team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cultivate strong working partnerships internally as well as externally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in relationship management, preferably within financial services.

  • Familiarity with advisor platforms and custodians (e.g., Fidelity, LPL, Charles Schwab) is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the RIA industry and the financial advisory business models.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic familiarity with CRM or operations software (Hubspot is a plus).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ability to think strategically and possess strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach.

  • Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent) licenses are preferred but not required.
