CHARLOTTE, N.C. – April 9, 2019 – Independent Advisor Alliance (IAA), an office of supervisory jurisdiction on LPL Financial LLC’s hybrid registered investment advisor platform, today announced donations totaling more than $8,000 to support Communities In Schools of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (CIS). This gift will help support CIS’ mission to keep kids stay in school and on a path to a brighter future.
Throughout 2018, IAA educated its community of advisors about CIS and its mission through emails and newsletters. The year-long educational campaign culminated at their annual Engage conference in Charlotte, where money was raised during the registration process and via a silent auction fundraiser. In addition to the funds raised at the conference, both IAA and LPL Financial contributed to the overall total collected.

Russo also volunteers his time with CIS and has served on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg affiliate’s board of directors since 2017.
